Hi, I've built the simple circuit
I read the EEPROM and everything was OK, I got a 1KB file.
The read the file with IBMpass 2.1 Lite and was able to retrieve the password. But now I get this error.
0187: EAIA data acccess error.
I was able to retrieve the password so it must be reading the eeprom.
And my second question is how do you clear out the password?
I've went into password in the BIOS and in the Supervisor password I entered the old password and hit enter at the new password and enter at the confirm new password. then F10 the the password still remains.

Thanks in advance for looking. |

If you soldered wires to the eeprom then redo the soldering over the eeprm legs, cause 0187 EAIA erros means that system board can't access the eeprom due to a hardware malfunction - bad SDA/SCL pins contact.
Since you got the SVP is simple to clear out the POP and SVP in BIOS, but not when 0187 is present, solve that first. Take a fine tipped soldering iron and resolder each pin carefully, then check to see if there's any solder bridges between adjacent pins and remove them. _________________ Victor Voinea
