After re-assembling my T40 after repairing the power plug, I get a security error/warning (176 systems been tampered with) and it then displays the lock symbol. I read the eprom using the 24RF08 reader and IBMPass lite, but it doesn't work.
Am i doing something wrong?
BTW, I never set a password for the BIOS.

Hello,
If the lock symbol shows up then is SVP locked. And of course, someone did it.
