Hi,
i have a thinkpad A21m with crc1 error.
I would program the chip with another .bin code from another a21m.
Can you hel me for the programmer?

If i unsold/remove completly the chip 24rf08ct.... the laptop boot or not?

The laptop won't boot without the eeprom. You'll have EAIA error.

The best way is to correct the original dump. The eeprom writer is not free, sorry.

When, the laptop without the chip don't boot Sad
I have read on the newsgroup that the 390 without chip boot...

On the newsgroup i have read that correct crc1 error on the thinkpad A21m is much riskiusly because the alimentation problem can broke the chip.
It's true?

A2X series had many problems not only with the power regulators. T20-22 had problems as well. However, a CRC error can appear as a result of a power loss but not necessary due to a defective power source.

So the answear is YES and NO. Laughing

my doubt is : if reprogram the eprom and then my computer stops to work the same one?
If mine motherboard has of the feeding problems I spend of the money and I do not resolve nothing in how much crc error return after little time?

You must know better if you have a defective laptop there and if it worth spending some money on it.
