Hey all,

anybody knows of a solution to remove the supervisor password on a Tecra S3?

We can access bios, but cannot change page and can only set date/time/user password. We neither can access boot menu via F2 to choose to boot from optical/lan/usb.

Afaik there is nothing in the forum here about the S3 series and google doesnt give any useful answers.

The S3 got the parallel port, but afaik this is for bios password removal only, not supervisor password.

Any help is welcome!

Same problem here.
BIOS 1st page is accessible, but page 2 & 3 not.
Pressing INS key on power up brings up the prompt to enter the supervisor password. That's where I'm stuck.
Took the Laptop apart completely but didn't find any jumpers or pads that I would suspect to clear the password data.
Btw, by pressing Ctrl, Tab, Ctrl, Enter on the password prompt throws out the PC serial no. and the challenge code.
Only need the damn response code to unlock the BIOS.
Toshiba hotline told me they couldn't do it and that I would have to take the laptop to a service point to let them unlock the BIOS.
Problem is that the next service point is a few hundred km away from me, and they demand a huge fee for giving out the response code. That's damn ridiculous!
I can't believe that they use such a strong algorithm that no one can code a little keygen for that... I mean, 2 out of 3 variables are known. How hard can that be for a math genius? :p
