I was given a Sony Vaio Model PCG-7D2L (VGN-FS750P/W) to set up for a gentleman with health issues that no longer permit him to get on his desktop pc. (This will probably get loaded with Ubuntu.) I would like to clear the CMOS password without taking it apart to remove the battery. Service Tag is C300KKCZ, Serial # appears to be 28199439 3000630. Not sure how some are coming up with the passwords for others but it is an interesting trick. Easier to provide this information and hope someone can help me. Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi, a question - I've got sony vaio pcg 7154M model from a friend, the problem (the reason he have it to me in the first place Smile )it has a bios master password. Is it possible to remove it? I triend the password calculator - it does not work. Do I need to open it up and try to read the eeprom or is it another easier way to do it?
Thank you Smile
