i read my IBM T42 password, but it deosn't work, i am afraid it TCPA locked, but i need professional review.

Thank you for repl, it's not good for me Sad. What causes the lock? I want to know that because i bought new motherboard from my friend and he told me it is not locked. Is possible that i locked motherboard by my own mistake? I didn't install original CPU (it was from T40P), but after changing processor to original, that was installed on MB, problem persist. Can i unlock it by myself?

The board was locked already with Supervisor and passphrase. That can be set by a human, if not you then someone did that anyway.

The eeprom dump must be patched in order to unlock the TCPA chip for good. Being an old model, we can give you the TCPA unlock service freely, but the eeprom writer license must be purchased anyway - because it is needed.
