Hi everybody,
At work we have this hp elitebook 6930p laptop which was assigned to a user that recently resigned. As it usually happens he put an administrator password in bios which he claims now he cannot remember. The laptop works just fine with the password since it's only set for accessing the bios, but company policy is that the harddrives must have a password set. Now comes the tricky part: I cannot enter the bios to set a harddrive password, because I don't have the admin password. Therefore I need to read the password from the bios (atmel 26df321). Can it be read with a standard eeprom programmer? Also I understand that this is different than normal bioses as it is somehow encrypted? Can anyone shed some light? Thanks. |
