Hello,

As suggested by Victor, I am creating a new topic to discuss my problem(Originally posted here)
Thank you for helping me realize that it is definitely an SVP since, I now understand that you are actually able to login to the BIOS even as a user.
The circuit I built is the i2cprog using only 2 zeners and 2 resistors. Is this the correct circuit? I will start from scratch and upload pictures as I go if this is the correct circuit.
Since the previous poster was apparently able to find a solution, I'm assuming I should be able to get this to work with the T61P even though it's TCPA locked.
Also, the ATMEL is located on the underside of the board toward the backside of the computer in an awkward spot. If anyone has any tips or pics for the correct way to solder the circuit and the leads on the ATMEL, it would be greatly appreciated. If not, I will attempt to document the process for those of you who need or will need it in the future.
Thanks again for your help thus far Very Happy

Hi,

With a good serial port, the simple circuit will do it.
I think a lot of users posted pictures and all about their working setups, but if we can be of further assistance just post your pics here and we'll try our best.
As a tip: You could use two fine needles for SDA and SCL wires, keep them with the chip's #5 and #6 while executing the program.

So I finally managed to solder everything and just wanted to check with you to see if this looks right:

The resistors are soldered onto the pins of the serial connectors in the correct orientation (3 red stripes facing in the direction of the serial port).

Thanks for any advice!
