One of my A30 ThinkPads just developed a CRC1 error. Please refresh me on what I need to purchase and build (schematic location please) to investigate and correct this problem.

First, download R24RF08, W24RF08 and IBMpass 2.0.
Install them and read the documents that came with the kits (see the pdfs).
You have to build an interface to read the 14 pin ATMEL 24RF08.
The chip is close to the second memory slot but you have to dismantle the laptop to get access there.
Then send the eeprom dump along with the register.rtf by email to support_at_allservice.ro, to validate the license. Victor will correct the dump and you'll get back the laptop in minutes. |
