hey everyone im using an old dell 2350 trying to unlock my t41 ibm thinkpad the problem im having is i keep getting the error eeprom not found...i made the simple programmer...rechecked all of my work everything is ok.....was i suppose to solder the resitors to the db9 female? or to the wires coming out? i dont think it should make a diffence? i also soldered neddles to the ends of sda also scl but keep getting eeprom not avabile.i forgot to mention i used power supply cables for my reader..the ones that goes to cd rom harddrive etc that i had laying around from an old pc case..could this be the problem?

Makes no difference. Cables are good if the electrical current goes thorugh.
