Hello!
Recently i got a tp 600e locked with a password, errors 161 and 163 on the screen and with no CMOS battery . Yesterday i replaced CMOS battery with new one and assembled a circuit for 24rf08 with external battery. Eventually i had to unsolder the chip, otherwise i could not read the data (constantly got the "eeprom not available" result and emty dump file) I used r24rf08.exe to get the dump from the chip, then the usual procedure - and i got the password. For some funny reason, it was 'Y2K1999' Smile
I unplugged wires from the chip as soon as i got the content. After this i soldered the chip back to the board, checked the soldering, assembled the machine and started it.
Got errors 161 and 163, was asked to type in the password, typed it, then set the time. It restarted... and i got the 188 error and i can do nothing with it.
As it goes from the manual, the problem is "An incorrect checksum of
the EEPROM is received."

So i got some questions ))
First one, maybe it wont be ever answered, "what was wrong?"
Second one, is it possible that my dump file is correct, and if i reprogram the eeprom chip, the problem will be eliminated?
And the third question goes from second, if my dump file is indeed corrupted, is it possible to get a similar one and reprogram the chip using it?
Thanks a lot for the knowledge and software you share with us!

If needed, i can attach dump file and everything necessary.

Hi,

Nothing was wrong. The eeprom content could be already corrupted before reading it, I need to see the file to verify what was it.
Anyway, we can repair the checksums if needed, all you need is the eeprom writer license.

Email the eeprom dump to support-at-allservice.ro (replace "-at-" with the sign) for evaluation.
