I have an A20M with supervisor password. With this model I had to disassemble laptop to get to the 24rf08ct chip. I was wondering if I could use SIPROG with power supply for unsolderd eeprom to download eeprom content? If so, can I connect all grounds to one source and what would be a sufficient ground??? Last question would be what order would I connect everything? Power supply, grnd, sda, scl?? Any Help would be very apprieciated.

No need to unsolder the PROM. just connect 3 tiny wires to it and assemble back the machine.
When you finish the operation succesfully, dismantle the machine, remove the wires and assemble back again.

Do not unsolder the eeprom, no need to complicate the things, specially when you don't have much experience as I believe.

Victor, took your advice and it worked but I had to download ibmpass 1.1 to read eeprom content. I seen that you wanted eeprom bin files if you want it send me an email and tell me where you want me to send it. Thank you for your help.

The address is support-at-allservice.ro

Better if you get IBMpass 2.0, open the dump and activate translation by clicking AA button. scroll down until the 0x300 line and you can see the pwd at 0x338.

Thanks.
