|
|
Hello,
I have a Sony VAIO VGN-FW200, Model PCG-3D4L that I'm servicing for a friend. Grandpa set the password and forgot it the next time he used the machine, tried to enter the password a couple hundred times.
Sony tells him that the contents of the harddrive has been consequently erased, but that they'll provide the password one time for free. I'm not sure what happened, but this got lost and now he's being told he has to pay a fee. Real nice of the system to automatically destroy the contents of the harddrive.
This seems like exploitation on a lower level of extracting money from the customer.
Please, it'd be very helpful if someone can provide the Onetime password for the following key
273F-9X37-K8FD-T8TH
Dogber1 and HPGL are understandably keeping a very tight fist clamped onto the Python algorithm that generates the password...still makes this end of things kind of a drag.
Thank you!
