Hi Victor (and to anyone else that might have the answer),
1.Was wondering about the SPEG - Universal Serial Flash Programmer 1.1. Does it unlock IBM supervisor passwords?
2. Which would be better to use to unlock supervisor passwords (if answer to question 1 is yes).. SPEG - Universal Serial Flash Programmer 1.1 or the PC8394T programming tools?
3 Do both of these sets of tools unlock supervisor passwords on other brands IE: sony, toshiba, etc.?
Any help is greatly appreciated. thank you,
Leo |

Hi Leo,
1. SPEG is a programmer for SPI chips used for BIOS.
No, it does not unlock anything by itself. However, can be used for Thinkpad SL300/SL400/SL500/G550 BIOS relflash, as "unlock" tool. Those models keep the password in BIOS. Also for many HP/Compaq models
2. For IBM/Lenovo machines: PC8394 Tools and 24RF08 Tools.
3. For those at 2. the answer is NO, unless the laptop is something similar to Thinkpads. Of course, SPEG can be used to read/write BIOS in any kind of laptop so those that have the passwords recorded in BIOS (like HP's) can be unlocked by using SPEG and clean dumps. We can repair or clean original or even build and sign HP BIOS dumps, the service is available for SPEG registered users. _________________ Victor Voinea
