Hi!

I read the password, but I don't understand the result:

Is the password
'PAPAGEI' (must I hold SHIFT while typing the password?)
or
'papagei' (no shift)
or
PAPAGEI ' (is there a space at the end?)
or
'papagei '

??

Thanks
Pirate

It is "papagei" as well as "PAPAgei" as well as "PaPaGeI", no matter the case.

Please, try to post your follow-ups in the same thread, you already opened 3 times the same discution.

I used ponyprog.
r24c01.exe din't work - I don't know why.
I opened the DOS command window.
browsed to the folder with r24c01.exe
typed in:
r24c01 test.bin /x /d /i
nothing happens, but PC hangs.
no .bin file was created.

I also tried to type the command in the window which opens when I start r24c01.exe - also nothing - window closes and that's all.

Well, now I already have desoldered the wires and mounted the board.
I have 2 more TP600 with unknown password which I will check out soon.
I will post then again and try r24c01.exe again.

I also will post the result of the 'papgei' password here.

Sorry for my dumb questions, this was my first password-reading attempt!

Thank you.

R24C01 needs the rscom.dll in the same folder, otherwise the software enters in tamper mode (it has an antidebug routine, included by Victor). Make sure you close Pony if you execute R24C01 or R24RF08, or the serial port access is denied.

I will try it again with my other 2 thinkpads soon and tell the results here.

By the way, "Papagei" is the german word for "Parrot" (the colorful, speaking birds). And pirats have them on there shoulders sometimes. So your nickname is quite suitable Wink
