Well I got caught out by a supervisor password appearing when I followed Lenovo's instructions to remove a power on password

So here I am wondering how I order what I need to get the password unlocked:
- I think I need a circuit of some kind (pre-built with soldered insulated needles from the sound of things)
- Some software to dump the eprom downloaded by the circuit
- A fee to you for decoding the password from the eprom dump?

The only hardware I can see on the order form is for a SPEG Programmer, and I do not believe that is what I need to order for the T400?

Hello,

FOr T400, you need to read the eeprom with R24RF08 which is freeware. You will be able to unlock the laptop with IBMpass if passphrase is not active.

In case the passphrase is ON then you wil have to purchase W24RF08 and TCPA service for $55. The programs are available in our store:

Hello Mr. Victor

I have also a Problem and have a password on bios. I cant even boot because the Laptop wants to get into bios, so i can change the Date & Time settings, because i put the CMOS-battery out, so that the password is gone. BUT NO WAY! So i downloaded this 2 programs, but i dont know how to use them. I have also a TP t400.

Pls help me, te rog !

Trebuie sa cititi un eeprom 24PS08 cu programul R24RF08 si o interfata.

Daca IBMpass nu poate decoda parola, atunci s-ar putea sa fie nevoie de writer si de serviciile mele. Pot fi contactat la support-at-allservice.ro

Opa deci trebuie sa sudez?? asta e deja prea mult pentru mine, nu ma stiu la asa ceva . Daca eu as schimba placa de baza de la Laptop, nu ar mai trebui sa aiva parola, nu?
