I lifted the pad @pin2(L2) of where p24s08 is located on my ibm r500 mainboard. My question is does this need to be hooked up and if it does , does anyone know where I could solder it too?( it does look like the trace runs to a resistor right beside it)

Thanks and great looking site here

edit: I have solder direct to the resistor and replaced chip after reading password from dump, r500 now booting up again. Very Happy
