Hi I built a Si-prog and am trying to recover the tpm password on a t420 it connects and creates output bin. When I open the .bin file I can see serial number and stuff but when I go to address 0x330 to 0x370 all I can see are characters like this..
‹ÅA
Also when I press the enable translation button I get 0x330 8b c5 04 41 and 3f on the right hand side. Also 0x350 has P on the right hand side.
0x360 has R TYf on the right hand side as well.
0x3c0 has F D8=

I have dumped 3 times and exactly the same. Am I doing something wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does this model have encrypted password on it?

The Allservice regulars seem to be out, so here goes. I haven't done a T420, but I believe all these later model Thinkpads have encrypted passwords, and your dump looks that way to me. You might save a little time by emailing the dump to supportXXallservice.ro, and ask Victor to have a look at it. (Replace the XX with the usual email sign)
