I was updating the bios on this laptop via windows and then the laptop stop responding. It was at the step where it was writing blocks.
I found a file on the laptop hard drive with the name bios.bak
When I start the laptop now I get a black screen. It doesn't show anything.
Victor is can I rename the bios.bin file and flash it back to the laptop eeprom? Where is the eeprom chip on these unit? Thanks

No, that is usually only a part of the BIOS. But that depends on some factors.
If you email me the back-up file I can check it out.
The BIOS is not actually the eeprom you know. It is a SPI flash and a programmer for it would be SPEG.

We can repair the BIOS and make it as it was before the crash. _________________ Victor Voinea
