Hi all!
I try to reset a forgotten supervisor password on my T440p TP.
I read topics for Lenovo TP Password but nothing find about my model.
It use a eeprom for password? Where is located?
I totally dismantled TP and searching the eeprom but no luck...

This one doesn't have the eeprom. After some tests, we believe it is in the SMSC chip. No solution thus far, when we will do it it will be posted here.

The passwords are not in BIOS and whoever chink will try to sell you BIOS chips will just scam you.

For the moment we succeeded in unlocking the T440 regarding power on lock and resetting the password exceed count error. Laptop will boot normally.
However, the SVP lock is still a problem.

Hei victor, I have same problem with my T440, although SVP lock is still a problem, but I hope my laptop can boot normally, so can you tell me how to unlocking power on lock and resetting the password exceed count error? Is that hardware modification? Bios modification, or what?
I had bios update with external SPI programmer but always have the same issue

Thanks Very Happy
