EDIT: I figured out my code and removed it and am all good, thanks for your time.
Hi: I would like to do this to my p50 if I can instead of having to get a new logic board but am not sure where the chip is and if it will be viable with say needles instead of soldering directly to the board. I would be buying a speg programmer and then the SVP service for a Thinkpad P50 that I recently bought not even a month ago put a code for the bios and forgot to write down said code and now am stuck. I mainly want to know if I have to remove the thermal component of the logic board to get to this chip as well.
