Hey!

I just need some pointers to make sure that my T580 is compatible for unlocking.

Looking at the EEPROM chip, it looks to be the Winbond W25Q128JV

Booting the laptop brings me to a "0199: System Security - Security password retry count exceeded." after trying to get into the BIOS a few times. Pulling the CMOS battery does not clear the 0199 code but is now on top of a set date and time error, which obviously cannot be done without the password.

The icon looks like a person with a lock beside it.

Just making sure that I am all set to be able to proceed with the unlocking or if I now have a brick

Salut!
T580 i7vPro - eroare de fiecare data cand incer sa instalez windows (de orice fel - 7, 10...). Eroare este acpi_bios_error cu BSOD. Linux functioneaza.
Intrebare: pot accesa cumva advanced settings in bios pentru modificare ACPI? Daca da, cum? Multumesc!

Salutare!

Ai nevoie de o distributie Windows 10 cu driverele acutalizate de la Lenovo. Cel mai usor este sa downloadezi de la ei. Trebuie sa-ti faci un cont acolo, inroduci SN si iiti vor deschide un request pt Windows 10. Instalezi aplicatia lor si vei crea un USB drive cu WIN 10 exact pt laptop-ul tau. Bootezi de pe el si totul va ieis ca la carte! Am folosit asta de cateva ori, este gratis si totul decurge fara batai de cap.

Poti si prin alta metoda, sa injectezi driverele manual. Apoi trebuie sa copiezi Win10 pe HDD/SSD pe care il parittionezi in prealabil si sa instalezi dintr-un folder de pe C:\
