I know pcs, but when it comes to this I am completly lost.
Ive been looking at this over a month, and I just dont get it.
I understand how to get the password, and undo the laptop, solder, etc.
What I dont get is what parts I need. no clue.
I would like to walk into radioshack and just say, hi, I need this.
Or purchase the items all online in 1 place.
I will need;
1 solder (thin)
2 zeners
2 resistors (just say 2 zeners and 2 resistors?)
1 com port
batteries.
Im in USA if that helps.

Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it.
No need the batteries, unless you plan to unsolder the eeprom. In rest your list is correct.
You didn't tell what model do you plan to unlock.. |

T30 works very well with SIPROG. Would be prefect if you have a friend twho knows how to build it. The eeprom is close to the second memory slot, remove the RAM cover and look for a small 8 pins eeprom ATMEL 24RF08.
