on a T23 - Managed to get my connection order messed up so read the eeprom, but created the crc error. stupidly tried to clear the crc error by pulling the cmos battery, and now it hangs on press f1 to enter setup with the IBM logo. Is this caused by the 24rf08ct needing reprogramming |

CRC error means that eeprom data is corrupt, incorrect checksums.
Yes, needs to be reprogrammed. |

Bit it no longer shows the crc error message - so is it just a corrupt eeprom or is it more serious? |

That's because the clock error is shown first, but the error's still there.
Edit: A corrupt eeprom is a very serious problem |
