Dear ALLservice,

Thanks a lot for this great page with all it's valueable content. Still can't believe, that a can get such information for free. THANKS !

I'll (hopefully) get my blocked X40 sent sometime next week from the States. But I already built the SIPROG cause I'm so impatient Wink

Just one question regarding the wiring. Am I right thinking, that the two Zeners, the ground on the TP and the ground on the DB9 are all wired together on one line/cable? At the moment my ground cable comes from PIN 5 on my DB9, then supplies the Zeners on the breadboard and then goes through to the Atmel ground lead. Is this OK or do I just have to connect the Thinkpad ground to the breadboard but not to the DB9?

@victor

Do you already have pictures of the X40 Atmel? If not, I could take some (8 Megapixels) and send it to you when I've disassembled the device. I think it's on the bottom of the board (unfortunately).

Cheers
Uli

Hi,

The eeprom is masked with a black sticker, unfortunatelly I don't have a good picture of it, I always missed to take one, but would be nice if you can post some nice shots and I will host them here.

The siprog is quite easy to build, I don't get into details, we discussed here in many posts how to build it.
See one here:

All you have to do is to test the circuit with itester, before trying anything.
Don't forget to use zenners and they must be set correctly, with the anode tied to GND, this is very important!

Good Luck!
