I get this error, after reading the dump and assembeling the Thinkpad.

ERROR
0177: Bad SVP data, stop POST task.

And I can't come further than that. I can't enter BIOS and the password field never shows up. What can I do now?

ps! At least I got the password. The only problem is that I don't got anywhere to type it. Smile

Hi,

I guess, you made an error when you assembled the laptop, and the eeprom get corrupted.

To reset the error, you need to write the eeprom dump back to eeprom, of course the dump must be error free.

So you need the W24RF08 license which is $30.

What if the dump is not error free??? Can comeone provide me a dump for T41?

Just writing any dump is not a solution.

We can correct your original dump, if needed. This correction is included free with W24RF08 license (only for one laptop).

We received your dump. It is screwed up totally, it looks like somebody tried some experiments on it.

I need some more info now, such as your machine type, because the eeprom dump couldn't reveal that.
