Bit now when i start the program the ERROR: Eeprom not available appears!

We need to know futher details:
1. What circuit you used;
2. Pictures of your setup, eeprom connection, etc., all you consider it might be helpfull for us to figure out what you tried, what you have done;
3. and so on... |

1. I used the simple circuit
2. eeprom connections as described: GND, SCL & SND
i really think, that i did everything right because when i did it the first time the eeprom was patched (patcher.exe) and now when i try to execute 24rf08.exe eeprom not available |

If you did it right then it must work.
If you're asking for support, we need details, as Bob said. _________________ Victor Voinea

Thanks for ALLservice big help. I now have a circuit to fix the Supervisor password on IBM Thinkpad. I also have to credit Raymond Kawakami
for his personal help, and his very clear instruction and image to build the circuit. ( his webpage is http://www.rkawakami.net/ibm_600x/bios_pass/).
We can find lots of information and tutorial on how to fix the forgotten password on IBM Thinkpad on this forum, so I just want to document mistakes that I have encountered:
1) The serial port jack: Most of the serial jack has numbers to identify the pin number from 1 to 9, so make sure that you identify the pin correctly. It you use the simple and get error BUS ERROR or CIRCUIT NOT FOUND, then you must check the orientation of the serial jack.
2) Make sure to use Itester to test the circuit to make sure that it was built successfully before using it to decode the forgotten password.
3) It you use the driven circuit and get error "EPPROM NOT FOUND, then make sure you execute the r24rf08 with switch /x /d /i Make sure there is a space between /x, /d, and /i. |
