Hi All,
I am trying to recover the password from my brothers Thinkpad SL510 laptop. He was messing around in the BIOS thinking he was just setting up HD password and now, after some months when he wants to get into the BIOS, he can't remember the password. I have successfully been able to dump the EEPROM three times (twice the same, third after running patcher) and the passwords that I am seeing don't work.
Is there anyway for me to be able to post the .bin dumps for someone to take a second look at? If not, i'm not sure what to do. I seen when searching Google they have blank supervisor password chips on E-bay, would that work if I can't get the password from the dump?
Thanks in advance. |

Blank chips for Lenovo are a scam.
Send the dump to support-at-allservice.ro _________________ Victor Voinea

Hi I have a Lenovo T61 that has the password locked. Through reading the forums I have successfully been able to read a .Bin file from the PCA24S08 chip. I am able to read everything including the serial number but what looks to be the password will not take do I have a TCPA lock even though I can read the serial number and so on. Thanks

Hi,
i have a locked T42.
I build the simple SPI reader, booted up, attached the wires and dumped the EEPROM into a bin file.
When i launch IBMPass 2.1 Lite i cannot find any password within the dump.
At offset 0x338 i have the bytes:
12 15 12 18 31 16 00
Same at 0x400
Could they be the password? Or is it encrypted? Am i doing something wrong?
Please help me as i need to go into bios to reset my system clock.
Thank you
Sebbi |

I kept getting "circuit not found or bus error" until I placed the yellow backup battery back on the T61. Finally now the dump has been made.
However, there isn't a nice password on lines 338 and 340. Both read "ÛH¬l缧" or in scancode "_8____S_" (with _ being a space). Is this my password?
I got a Lenovo T61. |

Hi, I have a T61 imd password bios but I removed the battery and now will not start because the programmer wants a password simple-i2cprog if you can read the chip. I found it at the bottom of the back says p24s08. |

Hello,
The simple interface works well, yes.
Well...if done correctly.
Good luck! _________________ Victor Voinea
