Just a quick note to say thanks Victor for all your efforts.
For the record, I successfully recovered the admin password on my Thinkpad 600e using the simple non-driven circuit, the 24RF08 v2.0b reader and IBM Pass Lite 2.1.
The tech PC was my trusty old desktop based on an Epox KT133b chipset mainboard and quality PSU. Following the instructions carefully, the procedure worked flawlessly with this hardware.
