Need some help.

1. locate eeprom 24c01 on system board detect lead 4-GND 5-SDA 6-SCL (connect wire with switches (turned off))
2. build device like simple-i2cprog.pdf connect to com port of my pc and 3 wire to switches
3. turn on TP press F1 wait for all activity stop
4. turn on switch GND
5. turn on switch SDA
6. turn on switch SCL
7. on my pc run command c:>r24c01 1.bin
and get error

Initializing timer...16369 OK!
Base address set to: AEh
ERROR: Eeprom not available!

where im wrong?

PS: i'm trying in p. 7 run command whith key /x /d /i and get .bin file but it empty

Do not use /x /d /i with the SIPROG or you'll get the chip corrupted!

For 380xd is better to use the driven programmer because the SMbus impedance is really low. It could work with SIPROG if you have a COM port which provide a good current.

I suggest you to make the driven programmer

Heheh, I also successfully unlocked good-old-bulletproof 380xd after cmos battery failure Smile
Many thanks, everything worked exactly like in manual, except I forgot about F1 first time Laughing

And scancode button isn't too intuitive for me, because it says off, so I first assumed that conversion was already on Smile
But just because of that, I noticed one nice thing Cool
You can decode supervisor password (at least on some old models) without having to disassemble the laptop, if it boots fine (= if it isn't locked = doesn't prompt for password).
Ctrl+D is the magic keyword Wink
