Hi I am wondering if you can help me . I have an IBM 600 (2645-4A0) which is currently running Win 98 I wanted to upgrade to XP so I bought a new hard drive. I flashed the BIOS successfully however it will neither let me into the BIOS or install a new hard drive (blank) without a password which I don't have. I have read your forum manically and purchased all the items to make the reader and downloaded the programs. However while I was researching i came across a program which does a bios file dump from the command prompt (from the eleventh alliance website) I can and have opened up the file in your program but cannot make head nor tail of the stream of information at the addresses you advise 0x330 etc Is it me or is it possibly the file I have created is not compatible. I have tried to get away from the idea of soldering or cratig a diagram as I have never done either before but am a plucky chick so will have a go if needs be- but this program seemed the answer to my prayers

The password is not in BIOS. 24RF08 is a small eeprom (1K) that holds some specific infromation like UUID, serial and.. the supervisor password.

What you need is to dump 24RF08, not the BIOS. Please read the tutorials and FAQs. You may also search the forum for 600e, I hope it will come up with some ideas.
