Hello guys,

I had the error code of 0721 Check date and time setting

Then I removed my battery the small one then 0176 came up. I thought by removing the battery it would reset the bios password. The thing is I need to reset the bios or something. My laptop has two passwords one to gain system access and bios password. I never need the bios password and now since the 0721 requires entering the bios I don't seem to remember the password. Is there a way I can reset the bios without going into the actual bios menu. I can't even boot into windows the error 0721 is preventing windows from loading.

I am not even sure if the laptop is working. I had my little brother use it for last few years. It just stopped working recently with the error code 0721...

any ideas..?

You have to enter BIOS and set the time&date to reset the 0271. The second error (0176) will be reset as well when you save the BIOS Setup cfg.

Of course, you need the SVP is any, if you don't know it then follow the unlock procedure using the R24RF08 and IBMpass.
