Hello i have a thinkpad 390e that i have recently bought off ebay, when i try to turn it on i have a icon with a computer screen and a lock, i have tried taking out the batterys for up to a week, and it is still set, what do i need to do to beable to unlock my computer and to be able to use it.
Any help would be extremely appredciated and welcome as i am beginning to believe this was a waste of 100$$$

The 390e is using the same 24RF08 eeprom (8 pin). Follow the tutorial from above, take the laptop apart and read the eeprom. Then using IBMpass you may easily reveal the pass.
