I don't think is related with the serials at all. This was the user pwd, that will alow you to start the laptop, but not to enter BIOS and make changes (in fact you may enter in user mode).
I still have in mind what you said about the dump being FFed at several offsets, I would like to see the origininal, could you send it to me via email? support-at-allservice-dot-ro and put "victor" in subject line.

You wouldn't happen to know what type of eeprom security chip that comes with a Toshia A3X model no PTA3XA-011002?
