Hey all,
Now tricky questions. After you have unlocked the passwords and gained access to computer which may be registered at IBM as stolen, lost, wtvr.. what is the risk that the asset tracking recovery team will trace your ip, scan UUID assign it to your contract with internet provider and soon the police will ring your bell ? Is used thinkpad worth the risk ? In our country e.g. nobody would take into account your argument, that you bought on advert on internet, cell phone number which you lost.. etc. You are the first to suspect.. And don't be mistaken i did the same, bought cheap, unlocked and now i would like to know what options there are.. Is it possible to rewrite UUID or install firewall which would privent it's scanning by IBM ?
Thanx for your opinions.. |
