I have just tried installing the r24rf08 eeprom reader and the IBMpass2 decoder.

The r24rf08 installed OK. The IBMpass2 installed BUT when I run the program I get "IBMpass2 has caused an error in KRNL386.EXE. IBMpass2 will now close".

I am running the software on an IBM 570E P2 using Windows ME.

I have tried uninstalling and installing again but I get the same error.

Maybe IBMpass2 only runs on Windows XP?

Any thoughts on the problem?

Victor can give a better answer, but I can also say it runs under windows 2000

The problem was corrected some while ago, just download the new kit of IBMpass 2.1, I forgot to mention in the forum.

The problem appeared randomly on Windows 9x/ME and was caused by the PE compression and antidebug routine used, which worked as a service.

But I have to tell you that the future commercial versions will not support Win9X anymore

I am actually using IBMpass2.1 which I downloaded about 5 days ago.

Has IBMpass2.1 been updated in the last few days?

Will IBMpass1 work OK with Windows ME?

The kit was updated on May21. Download it again from www.allservice.ro/store/utils/

I downloaded IBMpass2.1 again and it now works OK on Windows ME - many thanks for your help.
