hi all,hi Victor
i have a DV9096ea [dv9000 series]
near the kbc [KB3920QF] there's a missing IC [U17] ..i think it's eeprom i2c or spi and i think it include the kb3920 boot rom file
any one can tell me what is this chip number and if anyone can help me to get the dump file

Hi all.
I have a DV9000 board here and can tell you that U17 is a Conexant Cx20549... So, it's only the Audio Chip, not related to flash memory. The software for KB3920QF in the DV9000 board is stored in the same EPROM as the BIOS is. Thanks! |

about dv9000 there's many boards version
i'm talking about dv9096 it's intel processor i think u talk about AMD processor ..thank u anyway

Sure, I'm talking about DV9000 with AMD processor. This weekend I will open a DV9000 with Intel processor, so I will let you know what chip it have. Best Regards. |

anyway i think now it's an empty place because i opened an amd based processor and i followed the same KBC ene chip pins and i found that the same ic is empty place also from the vactory
