I have a T60 with a bios only password. I can log on and boot to windows.
I need to know is their away to get the bios password since i can boot to windows. If not what do i need to do?

Not from Windows, the password is stired into a secured area which can only be accessed using a remote PC and PC8394 tools.

How can I remove power on password and bios? I saw some of you software but I am not sure how to use it and do I need to prepare another compuer?

There are two cases here:

1. Only the POP is set - Solution: remove the CMOS 3V cell and the main battery. Simply as that, but there is one big catch here:

2. If SVP is set too, the laptop won't boot until date/time is properly set in BIOS, after removing the CMOS cell in the first step the time seeting its lost - Solution: In this case, you need to unlock the SVP and yes, a spare computer is required to run PC8394 tools.

Hi, I have the same issue with SVP and I cant get in to the BIOS setup. Could you please tell me if I can only get the RPC8394 and the software from you and be able to unlock it?

Yes, you may get RPC8394 only, but in case the passphrase is turned on BIOS you'll need the full kit (including the TCPA unlock service which is a bonus)

RPC8394 the software kit is $45, unlimited use - license per seat (one tech PC). You may build the interface or buy it as an additional item. which is $55+$10 registered priority airmail

Do I get it for free if I get the RPC8394?

Also how do I go about ordering the RPC8394? Just fill in the form and email it to you?

Edit: Also do I get the Interface diagram if I only get the RPC8394? Another words I will have everything I need to unlock the password? Im happy to build the interface myself if the parts are accessible.

TCPA unlock service is done by us, we patch the TPM binaries.
Obviously this is only avalable with the TPM writer WPC8394, in full kit.
RPC8394 is only the reader software, not enough to unloc kthe laptop in case the passphrase is on.

I understand that RPC8394 is only the software but do you supply the interface diagram to build the interface?
Could you please tell me what parts go into the interface so I can see if I can source them locally, if I cant then I will have to get the already built unit from you as you mentioned for $55.
