Hello all . Can I use a very old Laptop which is only running DOS 7 as
the "Technician" machine to run rfr2408 exe and receive the bin file dump as none of my my more modern machines has a Serial port. Reason for asking is that as far as I understand it the C:\ prompt inside the Run command (or from cmd ) inside XP and vista is not the same as an
original DOS prompt.

R24RF08 is a windows program, not DOS.

You can simply buy a PCI port, or maybe a PCMCIA/Xpress card one if you have a laptop. They are just 10-15 bucks everywhere.

24RF08 tools are Windows console programs, they need to be executed under x86 Windows
