Hello,

i have a problem to get a good dump of the flash chip in a HP Compaq 6530b, when its in the system. Speg cannot recognize the chip in the system. With a standalone flash chip i got a good dump. Can anyone help me please?

Hello,

To recognize the BIOS chip in-system is a problem with the host system, SPI lines might be kept busy by EC or else. There's several procedures to read the flash in system and to make the flash respond to requests.
